Submission of an application

• The application is submitted at the submission offices. To find out whether an appointment is needed follow this link.
• For the submission of the application the Cypriot citizen must be present. 
• The application should be accompanied by the required supporting documents which shall be officially translated and duly certified.
• In order to proceed with the submission of an application, the required fees (see below) must be paid.
• In order to submit the application, the biometric data (photo and fingerprints) and the signature of the third-country national are required.Only a photo is taken for persons who, at the time of submitting the application, have not reached the age of 6. It is noted that, the collection of biometric data is mandatory for the renewal of a temporary residence and work permit as well.
• In case of approval of the application, the applicant will be informed by letter in order to collect the residence and work permit.
• In case of rejection of the application, the applicant will receive a letter about the reasons of the rejection.

Fees
For residence and employment permit (remunerated employment - single permit):

• Issuance or renewal of a residence and work permit (including change of employer): €80,00
• Registration in the register of foreigners (only in cases of first registration): €70,00

For residence and employment permit (non-remunerated employment):

• Issuance or renewal of a residence and work permit: €50,00
• Registration in the register of foreigners (only in cases of first registration): €70,00

For residence permit without employment:

• Issuance or renewal of a residence permit: €50,00
• Registration in the register of foreigners (only in cases of first registration): €70,00

Examination time of an application
The applications are examined within four months from the date of submission of the application, provided that the applications are duly completed.  Otherwise examination time is extended.
