On 25th February 2025, the Grant Agreement was signed between the European Funds Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds, the International Organization for Migration in Greece, as the Beneficiary, and the International Organization for Migration in Cyprus, as a Partner, for the joint financing of the project titled “Additional support to upgrade the Pournara First Reception Centre in Cyprus”.

The main objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of third-country nationals already hosted at the Pournara First Reception Centre, as well as third-country nationals who will arrive at the centre in the future.

The total project budget is €3,524,562.31.

The project implementation period is 01/05/2023 -30/04/2025.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Border Management and Visa Instrument (BVMI) and it is jointly financed by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus.
