The SESAME project aims to develop an open, structured, adaptable, model-based approach to the systematic construction of reliable Multi-Robot Systems (MRS). The approach is supported by a set of models, components and configuration tools produced by the project. Targeted MRS will be able to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and will be able to operate reliably even in conditions of uncertainty

MRSs include distributed and interconnected robotic teams that can perform missions whose complexity and cost are too high for a single robot.
