The Asylum Service of the Ministry of Interion announces the final list for the purchase of services from translators/intrerpreters for the following languages/dialects: Arabic, Kurdish/Syria, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Armenian, French, Bangla, Farsi/ Dari, Filipino, Vietnamese, Hindi, Sinhalese, Tamil, Urdu, Nepali, Somali, Comore, Lingala, Pashto, Amharic, Georgian, Kurmanji/ Turkey, Mongolian Ethiopia, Spanish, Sorani, Sousou, Swahili, Portuguese, Pounjabi, Thibet, Mandarin.
The needs concern both oral and written translation from the above languages into Greek and English and are provided on pan-Cypriot basis, e.g. at the Central and New Offices of the Asylum Service at Nicosia, at the Examination Center Kokkinotrimithia, at District Levels of the Aliens and Immigration Service (YAM) of the Police, at the Reception/Hosting Centers for Applicants for International Protection, at the local Hospitals of the Republic of Cyprus and offices of the Social Welfare Services, at the Administrative Court of International Protection, at points of entry by sea and airports, etc. The service hours can be provided through the 24 hours. Those interested should be registered with the Department of Social Insurance, as self employed, where they will deposit their debts themselves. It is noted that during the provision of interpretation/translation service, the interest parties must use their own means of transport for their movements.
