Implementation of the co-funded project for the Support of the operation of the Accommodation and Reception Centre of asylum seekers in Kofinou area
Under the Support of the operation of the Accommodation and Reception Centre in Kofinou area, the Asylum Service implements since the 01/01/2021 a project co-funded from the Asylum, Migration, and Integration fund with 75% EU contribution and 25% from the Republic of Cyprus.
The general aim of the project is to strengthen and improve the quality of our services within the Centre with the provision of daily supporting services to the asylum seekers and their families who lives in the Centre in Kofinou. With the implementation of this project, the services and supplies are improved with the following:
· Personnel
· Security
· Daily provision of food
· Transportation
· Evacuation of absorbent ponds
· Pest control
· Cleaning and disinfection
· Transferring and Distribution of benefits
· Translations
· Electricity and water supply
· Travel allowance
· Administrative services provided at the Offices of the Asylum Service
· Expendables (including cleaning, office, and personal hygiene supplies)
· Electrical equipment
The duration of the project is fortyeight (48) months and specifically for the period of 01/01/2021 until 31/12/2024.
