In their capacity as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds for the Programming Period 2021-2027, the European Funds Unit is responsible for the preparation and publication of Calls for Proposals for project funding, as well as the selection of the Beneficiaries and the assignment of the projects to be financed, within the context of the Programme of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and in accordance with the objectives stated in article 3 of the Regulation (EU) 2021/1147 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 July 2021 establishing the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.

Within the framework of the Programming Period 2021-2027, the European Funds Unit announced on 8/12/2023 the first Call for Proposals for funding projects under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, with code YE/ΔΑ/ΤΑΜΕ/01_2023.

The second Call for Proposals is expected to be published in early 2025 and the Managing Authority intends to include in it the Integration Programs by Local Authorities, as well as the establishment of an Accommodation Centre for Vulnerable Applicants for International Protection .
