The First Meeting of the Monitoring Committees of the Home Affairs Funds was held on August 3rd 2023, with the primary objective to approve the Methodology and Selection Criteria of projects falling within the Home Affairs Funds Programmes.
Based on article 40(2) of the Common Provisions Regulation (ΕU) 2021/1060, one of the responsibilities of the Monitoring Committees of the Home Affairs Funds (HAF) is to approve the Methodology and Selection Criteria of projects falling within the HAF Programmes, i.e. the Programmes of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), the Instrument for Financial Support for Border Management and Visa Policy (BMVI) and the Internal Security Fund (ISF), including relevant changes that may occur.
The Methodology and Project Selection Criteria are related to both projects assigned through a direct award process, as well as projects assigned after a Call for Proposals and their approval is required, so as to enable the Managing Authority to proceed with the official project integration process and therefore sign the Funding Agreements for the projects assigned with the direct award process.
Within the context of the meeting, the Methodology and Project Selection Criteria were approved unanimously by all three Monitoring Committees (AMIF, BMVI, ISF).
