On 6th September 2024, a Grant Agreement was signed between the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds, and the Cyprus National Addictions Authority, as the Beneficiary, to jointly finance the project titled “Support of TCN people who use psychoactive substances”.

The main objective of the project is to identify ethnic groups of TCN people who face problems of addiction to psychoactive substances at the Kofinou Reception and Accommodation Centre for International Protection Applicants through an identification group, for the provision of services of harm reduction, therapeutic support and social integration.

The project has been implemented since November 2022 within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and it is jointly financed by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus. The total budget of the project is €224,700.

The project implementation time period is 01/11/2022 to 31/10/2025.
