A Grant Agreement was signed on 23rd February 2024 between the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds, and the Civil Registry and Migration Department, as the Beneficiary, for the joint funding of the project titled “Assisted and Voluntary Returns of Third Country Nationals”.

The main objective of the project is to provide assistance in kind or in any other form to people who are either in the process of return, or people who decide voluntarily to return without having any obligation, in an attempt to strengthen their consensual and/or voluntary return, as well as the improvement of the system of management of migration flows in general, within the framework of implementing a targeted and effective policy on returns.

The project has been implemented since May 2022 within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and it is jointly funded by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus. The total budget of the project is €10,768,400.00.

The project implementation period is 01/05/2022 -31/07/2024.
