 | | On 5 August 2024, the Grant Agreement between the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds, and the Dental Services of the Ministry of Health, acting as the Beneficiary, was signed for the implementation of the project titled “Medical age assessment for international protection applicants”, which is co-funded by the European Union.
The objective of the project is to implement an assessment to determine the age of international protection applicants, so that they can receive state services (such as accommodation) based on their age. Moreover, within the project, regular specialised training is delivered to Dental Officers who are involved in the age assessment process.
The project is implemented within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, and it is co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus, with a total budget of €111,962.28.
