On 8th April 2024 a Grant Agreement was signed between the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds, and the Asylum Service of the Ministry of Interior, as the Beneficiary, for the joint financing of the project titled “Support of the Operation of the Kofinou Reception and Accommodation Center for Applicants for International Protection”.

The main objective of the project is the support in the management of the operation of the Kofinou Reception and Accommodation Center for Applicants for International Protection by enhancing the services and supplies provided by the Asylum Service, thus improving the quality of life of the persons hosted at the Centre.

The project has been implemented since January 2021 and it is jointly funded by the European Union (within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) and the Republic of Cyprus. The total budget of the project is €5,024,050.18.

The implementation period of the project is from 01/01/2021 to 31/12/2024.
