A Grant Agreement was signed on 5th February 2024 between the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, which is the Managing Authority of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, and the Office of the Commissioner for Administration and the Protection of Human Rights, as the Beneficiary, for the joint funding of the “Forced Returns Monitoring Mechanism” project, with code AMIF/S03/2024/5.
The project will finance part of the expenses related to the actions and work of the National Forced Returns Monitoring Mechanism during the project..
The objective of the operation of the National Forced Returns Monitoring Mechanism is the monitoring of all the stages of the process of forced returns which is carried out by the state Competent Authorities for migration issues, so that an effective control can be carried out, while ensuring the dignified treatment of persons in the process of return and the implementation of the common rules and processes provided for by both the European and national legislation.
The project has a duration of sixty-six months, starting from 01/07/2022 to 31/12/2027, and a budget of €162,062.20, of which 75% (€121,546.65) will be financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and 25% (€40,515.55) will be financed through national resources.
