The European Commission publishes on 07 May 2024 a call for proposals for € 12 million to support Common Operational Partnership projects to prevent and fight against migrant smuggling with competent authorities of third countries.

This call is part of the activities foreseen in the Thematic Facility Work Programme 2023 – 2025 for Internal Security Fund.

The call will support activities aiming at enhanced prevention and fight against migrant smuggling by establishing Common Operational Partnership projects (COPs) that support structured cooperation between law enforcement, judicial authorities and other relevant services of the participating Member States and third countries.

These activities support the implementation of the Global Alliance to Counter Migrant Smuggling and its Call to Action to strengthen international cooperation on preventing and responding to migrant smuggling as launched by the European Commission on 28 November 2023.
