 | | On 5th June 2024, a Grant Agreement was signed between the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds, and the Cyprus Police as the Beneficiary, for the joint financing of the project titled “Upgrade/Expansion of the security systems at the Menogia Detention Centre for Prohibited Immigrants”.
The aim of the project is to provide a high level of protection, in terms of both building infrastructure and personnel (members serving at the Centre) who use the security systems, moving towards the direction of preventing illegal acts (escapes).
The project has been implemented since October 2023 within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and it is co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Cyprus.
The total budget of the project is €609,504.21.
The duration of the project implementation is 01/10/2023 -31/12/2025. |
